Norman Studios Silent Film Showing - Body and Soul
We are pleased to announce the showing of Oscar Michaeux’s Body and Soul (1925) on February 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the Rita F. Reagan Set Building, Norman Studios.️
Tony Steve, our very accomplished accompanist who was a mainstay of our previous Silent Sundays, will provide live accompaniment to this classic “race film.” The film is in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress and represents the motion picture debut of Paul Robson.
A discussion hosted by members of the board of Norman Studios about race film making and the correspondence between the two race film makers Richard Norman and Oscar Michaeux will precede the presentation of the motion picture.
The suggested donation for the event is $10. Snacks and soft drinks will be available.
